Step into the darker side of Derbyshire’s past with Folkvice Across the County, a two-part storytelling and performance experience connecting the ancient streets of Sadler Gate with the folklore, landscapes and industrial histories of the Peak District.
Beginning at 6a Sadler Gate on Saturday 12th September 2026 at 7pm, the first evening explores the hidden stories of one of Derby’s oldest streets, drawing on 1000 years of history, rumour, vice and shadowed lives.
The journey continues on Saturday 17th October 2026 from 6pm at P E A K Gateway Resort, where audiences will move into the landscape itself for an immersive outdoor gathering, with walking, amphitheatre storytelling and tales shared around the fire.
Featuring storytelling and performance from Richard Felix, Shane Lammond-Lynch and Joe.
Across both nights, expect dark folklore and performance woven through stories of murder, highway robbery, hobs, boggarts, mining, industry and the uneasy relationship between place, history and myth.
